Police say 19-year-old Demetris Jewel, and 18-year-old Cleveland Johnson broke into parked cars and stole purses Friday afternoon around 3:15pm. Another 17-year-old was also with them. Police spotted a vehicle with the three inside, and a short chase started down Market St. The chase ended when they swiped another vehicle at the intersection of Market and Division St., and then smashed into a light pole, according to police.
