Of course, the RS-18 units indicate that the photos were not taken in the western provinces. The train is westbound toward Shawinigan, QC from Garneau. The wye leads north to a mill in Grand Mère. The covered hoppers are for the Alcan aluminum smelter in Shawinigan. The photo was taken from the embankment at the CPR bridge to Grand-Mère over the CN mainline."
